RECRUITMENT
To develop the strongest and most future-proof technological solutions, it is essential that the people behind them represent the entire population.
A broad representation provides more angles and opinions, which creates a better breeding ground for innovation and discoveries.
Therefore, a diverse student recruitment is pivotal. In DITECH, we advise and service the TECH institutes and the central communications department in inclusive communcation.
We aim to challenge the often one-sided notions, young people have about IT. Instead, we strive to highlight the countless varieties in IT and show who studies IT, why they do it, and what they can do with it.
This is supported by new studies: Communication that shows a human and relatable side of IT makes it easier to attract a much broader group of young, IT-curious people.
In the recruitment branch, DITECH works with inclusive communication and diverse recruitment. We gather knowledge for and spar with communication staff from the TECH departments and AAU Communication and collaborate with It-vest and other universities and colleges.
In our work, we have, among other things, made an inspiration booklet that can guide the communication staff in adressing a more diverse target audience, e.g., by providing an understanding of our diversity thinking and giving recommendations for communication.
